Privacy
What information do we take from you and your pupils and how is it used?
We take privacy seriously and accordingly, students are protected as part of the Age Appropriate Design Code and only given a code to log in so that we store minimal data on them. The Schools’ Series website is designed with under-18s (children) at the heart of it so the language and tone are appropriate and accessible. The only data collected are the email addresses and names of teachers. Students are given nicknames/ random identifiers and a random word and number combination as a login. The website has no social features that allow pupils to communicate with each other or the teacher.
The platform is only accessible by invitation to a teacher who then sets up the students with accounts. There is no space for the teacher to add last names or other identifiers. Students cannot message each other on the platform. The only cookies used are session cookies to track and count the number of silver and gold coins collected at the various multiple-choice micro quizzes throughout the website. The settings are privacy-friendly by default.
